About Us
At FRIENDS OF THE 179TH FAMILY READINESS and SUPPORT GROUP, we believe that when one person serves, their whole family serves alongside them. Our nonprofit was founded with a simple but powerful purpose: to ensure that the families of the 179th have the support, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
Military life comes with unique challenges—deployments, transitions, and the stresses of constant readiness. Families often carry the weight of uncertainty and sacrifice. That is why we are dedicated to walking hand in hand with them, offering practical assistance, emotional support, and a caring community they can count on.
We work to strengthen family readiness and resilience by:
-
Providing resources and information that empower families to navigate challenges.
-
Building connections and friendships within the 179th community so no family feels alone.
-
Offering outreach, education, and programs to foster preparedness, stability, and hope.
-
Partnering with military leadership and community organizations to expand support networks.
None of our efforts would be possible without the compassion and dedication of our volunteers, donors, and community partners who share our commitment to serving those who serve our country. Every contribution of time, care, or resources directly helps us sustain our mission of standing with military families in their times of need.
At FRIENDS OF THE 179TH FAMILY READINESS and SUPPORT GROUP, we honor the sacrifices of service members by caring for their loved ones. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community where families can find comfort, resilience, and hope.
